I aspire to be a photojournalist. Beginning with my life as a military kid to my evolution into a young woman, my story is far from short. Growing up with a military background gave me an appreciation for different cultures and locales. My experiences allowed me to view the world from an unbiased standpoint. I was able to discover for myself the beauty that lies within the human population. Once my mother retired and we moved away from the military base, I soon realized that not everyone saw the world the same way that I did. Race, religion, and socioeconomic status took precedent in society over the beauty of a unique population. I decided that I wanted to help the world relearn the beauty of the various cultures in our society with my craft.
