School: University of Pennsylvania - Sigma Delta Tau
Growing up as the daughter of two native New Yorkers, there was never a doubt in my mind that I belonged in a city; thus one of my main requirements for choosing a college was that I had to be surrounded by chaos and activity. After trekking to at least a dozen colleges and considering a few other factors, I decided to make the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia my new home. Although I am going to miss my days in Potomac, Maryland, my family, and my beloved car, I could not be more excited for my city life to begin!
Above all else I love travel and fashion. In fact, three of my goals in life are to have dual citizenship, travel the world, and have a walk-in closet. I am obsessed with jewelry, accessories, rhinestones, studs, lace, ruffles, pearls, and leather, and I live for the three Bs: Bloomingdale’s, boutiques, and my Blackberry. Despite my love for dressing up, you can oftentimes find me in Nike apparel, as I come from a long line of “gym rats.” Although my hair would disagree, I love the heat and humidity so I spent the majority of my summers at Camp Laurel South in Maine and on teen tours with my camp friends. Due to my tomboy upbringing and infatuation with camp, I am as spirited as they come and I look for any excuse to dress up and cheer for my favorite sports teams.
I always thought my true calling in life was math and science but as soon as I entered high school I fell in love with design. I spent my free time multitasking as the editor-in-chief of my high school’s yearbook, designing rhinestone sandals, and building candy centerpieces. I am constantly putting together new photo collages and corkboards for my friends and myself, and this past year, I interned with an environmentally friendly shopping company in the Washington, D.C. area. As far as my future goes, I am not exactly sure what my profession will be but I would like to major in economics while preparing for medical school. I am never truly productive unless I am juggling a million things at once so I cannot wait for the beginning of my bustling city life and Dormify blogging career!
