As a senior at an all-girls school with a strict uniform, I am reflecting on the idea that I’ve never been given a true opportunity to express my personal style. I’ve worn a navy blue kilt and a white collard shirt since the early age of six. It feels like college is the perfect opportunity to show off my contemporary style. When I was asked to write for Dormify, I thought it would be a great way to share my story of transition from an out-of-style senior to a fashion-forward freshman at Bucknell University.
I identify myself as a free thinker with interests ranging from Model United Nations to mathematics and from basketball to Broadway. I read the blog Sushi with my Girls and listen to Vampire Weekend. I Zumba on weekends and tutor during weekdays. I’m eagerly awaiting the new opportunities that I will have once I get to college.
