School: Penn State University
Sorority: Alpha Omicron Pi 4 feet, 11 inches. Yes, that is my height and without a doubt defines who I am. I am from Cherry Hill, NJ and I am currently a sophomore at Penn State University. When I went through the application process it was always known that I was going to apply to a “RARA” school. What is a “RARA” school you might ask? Well in my eyes, it is a school that encompasses school spirit, great academics and a large sense of pride. Let me tell you that Penn State is the definition of a “RARA” school and I couldn’t be happier.
I am currently the president of my sorority and it has been quite an adjustment. Asking 90 girls to support my decisions is not always the easiest task to achieve. I am enjoying the process and hope that it will help me learn a lot about myself. My favorite, favorite, favorite part about being a student at PSU is THON—The world’s largest student-run philanthropy where we raise money for children with cancer. The fundraising ends the weekend of a no sitting, no sleeping dance. I am a THON chair this year and have had the privilege of working with families who have been helped by our efforts. It is an inspiring and unforgettable weekend and I am looking forward to it this month.
I think that covers it. I am family girl and I absolutely love my friends. If you saw my dorm room right now you would see wall-to-wall collages. I love pictures and have tons of frames all over my dorm. I am looking forward to expressing new ideas and seeing what others have to offer through Dormify to spruce up my room as well as my sorority suite.
