School: Penn State University
Four years ago, I was a clueless, aimless freshman with no idea of what I wanted to do with my college career, let alone my life. I like to say I was an “academic red-shirt” freshman. Then, I discovered graphic design, a way to put my creative mind to work. (Access to fancy photo printers was a bonus!)
In the fall, I will be starting my victory lap (5th year) at Penn State University. In addition to studying graphic design, college has given me the opportunity to pursue my interests in French, psychology, and philanthropy. THON, a two-day dance held at Penn State that raises money to combat pediatric cancer, has been a huge part of my college career and I hope to continue charity work long after graduation.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, but I love all cities. With a pilot for a father, I was born with a love of traveling. By plane, train or automobile, I need to constantly be on the move. This heavily influences my style. My room is decorated with photos I’ve taken as well as postcards and memorabilia from all my adventures. Someday, I dream of traveling around the world in a floating house like the movie Up. (Don’t worry! I’d Dormify the house first!)
