How long after graduation can you still call yourself a “recent” grad? Though I feel like I just left campus, it’s been over two years since my last all-nighter in the library, over two years since my last “free” meal in the dining hall. Oh College, how I miss you.
It’s true, college is one of the best times of your life, but life is pretty awesome on the other side too. New job, new city, new friends, new apartment- what’s not to love? For the past two years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed post-grad life in the Washington DC area, and now a new adventure begins.
In October I will move 1,500 miles to Austin, Texas. Among many things, I’m looking forward to spending more time with relatives in Houston, swimming, biking and running in the Hill Country, listening to music on 6th Street and hunting for apartment treasures in rural antique stores. I’ll be sure to share moving advice and decorating tips along the way!
