If you’re like me, living in the same room and staring at the same cinder-block walls for more than a few weeks can be a bit… well, boring. Unfortunately, that is what dorm room life is like for most of us freshmen and sadly we have about four more months of it. So, instead of letting my not-so-inviting walls affect my mood, I decided to spice things up a bit.
The easiest way to brighten up the room (and your spirits) is to display pictures that will create the “home” feeling you may be missing. My room already had photo collages and wall decorations, but I wanted to add something more relevant and lively. As I was searching for ways to do so, I stumbled upon Dormify’s fabulous wall sticker photo frame and instantly ordered a few sets.
In the meantime, I dug up pictures that I had printed, but never got around to hanging up, from winter vacation. If you don’t have any up-to-date photos, an easy way to print them is from your own computer. Want better quality? CVS offers fast and professional looking prints at a very low cost. All you have to do is bring in your camera’s SD or memory card and choose your pictures!
A few days later my frames arrived, and within minutes my wall had gone from boring to beautiful! The great thing about the photo frames is that they are sticky and easy to work with, so assembling and putting them up was no problem.
This quick and easy art project has totally revamped my room for the rest of the semester!
