When the cafeteria and all other on-campus food services have finally closed, and you are awake because you are a college student with a dysfunctional sleep schedule, the most difficult thing to do is ease the hungry tiger roaring in your tum tum. Trying to find food is such a nuisance because it is always a hike to the vending machines, and who wants to meander the dorm at odd hours? Or maybe it is not absurdly early in the morning, and you are just sick of campus food or do not want to leave your room. Whatever your reason, it is always good to have a room equipped with the quintessential college student food groups.
The first main food group is PEANUT BUTTER. Peanut is rich in protein and very versatile when making meals. You can make an appetizer, entrée and dessert with peanut butter.
The entrée is your choice of PB&J or PB&N (nutella).
For dessert take a spoonful of peanut butter, dip in a bag of chocolate chips and enjoy your Reese’s Peanut Butter Spoon.
The next main food group is natures candy: FRUIT. When you have a sweet tooth, fruit is a great snack because it is filling and healthy. It is always great to cut up an apple with some peanut butter while studying or grab an orange to go.
The third main food group is CEREAL. Cereal isn’t just for breakfast anymore. Stock up on your favorite oats and loops and enjoy whenever. Cereal makes for a delectable breakfast in bed.
The fourth and final main food group is not really a food but WATER. Always keep water in stock. It is good because you can always add Crystal Light packets and others of the sort for a quick and sweet drink. If you have a coffee maker, you can make more than just coffee. Let the water run through to get hot and add it to instant oatmeal, Ramen noodles, Easy Mac, or even use it to make Jell-O. Get creative with your hot water!
