Dorm Inspiration: Upper East Side Loft
While you may not be thinking “Manhattan’s elite” when you first walk into the cold, bare cubicle that is your dorm room on move in day, if there’s one thing the Upper East Siders do well, it’s shop for small spaces. The first step in going from “meh” to Manhattan is to pick a color scheme in the neutrals (think white, cream, black, brown, gray, etc.) By using this color scheme throughout the room, it’ll give your dorm a much more cohesive and rich feel. Next, mix textures and prints! The easiest, and most cost efficient, way to do this is by using throw pillows. Try putting them along the side of the bed to switch things up!
