As I started making a list of all the things I need to outdo from my dorm room last year, I  looked through some old pictures of my sophomore year room. It was very small and wasn't the ideal living situation in any way, but looking back at old photos, I remember that I really did make the most of it.  First, I love pops of color, so I made sure to add in anything that would make the room feel a little bit warmer and homey.  The pink rug and colorful lights all gave the space more depth and a fun pop of vivid hues.  I also loved having the two shelves above my bed.
